Here, we will learn about special case linear equations. When we think about linear equations they fall into one of three categories. First off, a linear equation can be conditional, which means it is true under a certain condition. Second, a linear equation can be an identity. This occurs when we can plug in any real number for our variable and always get a true statement. Lastly, we can have a contradiction. A contradiction occurs when it is not possible to obtain a solution.
