The first video in this series, “Understanding Disability,” explains the concepts involved with disability and why various accessibility options at polling places are essential to those voters. For more information guidance and training on accessibility contact your regional ADA Center: https://adata.org/find-your-region or local, city, county, or state accessibility office. When available Section 261 of HAVA, authorizes payments to states and units of local government to ensure access to the polls for individuals with disabilities. There may be additional funding available for disability access through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
