Zulu time explained! What is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)? This is also known as Zulu time. Zulu time gives us a way to fly across different time zones without getting confused on what time it is. When we use UTC time, it also helps ATC and other agencies know which time we are talking about when we are flying across multiple time zones. I also show how to calculate Zulu time for the test! This is all information that you will need to know to become a pilot. This information will help you study for the Private Pilot written exam and the oral exam for your check ride.
