Alan Lynch, joint head of Griffith College's Graduate Business School, explains the benefits of completing a Master's of Business Administration Degree with the College, and how it differentiates you from the crowd when it comes to job and promotion opportunities. Transcript: "An MBA is, for a lot of people, the last piece of education you'll ever do and because of that it's the most difficult, but it's an opportunity to set yourself apart from your peers. You become a Master of Business Administration, you're telling the world that you have the knowledge you have the skills and you have the management the ability to do a job. We're preparing you for management, we're preparing you to take on a senior role in an organization. Company sponsorship in an MBA is key to an employee's personal development. First of all, the fact that they see you as a company investing in them means that they know you're committed, it makes them more committed to you. What's the company getting in the long term? It's getting a more rounded individual, it's getting somebody with teamwork experience, increasing their knowledge, understanding, time-management, an understanding or how they can add value back to your company in the long run. I would say that an MBA in general gets you into that room, gets you into the interview, gets you into contention for a job or promotion. A Griffin MBA differentiates you, it makes you that little bit different than the other people that are in that room with you, it makes you stand out, and I believe will give you a better chance of getting that job or promotion in the future. In three words the Griffin MBA is difficult, amazing and rewarding!"
