Summary

Full Transcript

Matplotlib default style of plots is quite plain. You can easily improve the look of the charts by applying a pre-configured stylesheet. We can also use custom fonts to make our charts look more professional. This notebook shows how to apply many of the built-in Matplotlib themes to create aesthetically pleasing charts. We will also use the PyFonts module to load and use custom fonts. See the notebook at https://colab.research.google.com/github/spatialthoughts/python-dataviz-web/blob/main/supplement_matplotlib_themes.ipynb This video is part of our Mapping and Data Visualization with Python course. Access the full course material at https://courses.spatialthoughts.com/python-dataviz.html Note: Certification and Support are only available for participants in our paid instructor-led classes.
