The way we show the information in a app or website is so important when comes to UI/UX design.
You should look not for a specific right way to creat your composition. You can create a layout based on your own need as long as it is consistent and understandable to users.
As you can see in the picture on right, both screen are well design. Although the spacing is different, the composition is absolutely clear and consistent.
You need to pay attention on consistency a lot while you are designing a user interface. No matter what kind of platform you are designing for, the same roles apply to all of them.
