Take the training Max went though: https://bit.ly/3n82w8W #smbcapital #stockmarket #daytrading When is it appropriate to push size and risk? What does it mean for you to be aggressive but do so within your risk guardrails? ● Pushing size on trades while also being very mindful and accepting when the trade has gone wrong ● Respect risk limits and take off trades quickly ● Emotions: Too stubborn or don’t follow trade plan = Risk too much of stop ● Not wanting to risk more than 20-25% on a particular trade (Risk Guardrail) ● Key for Max: Not being stubborn What does it mean for you to go for it when you see a great trade but also stay within your risk limits? ● Biggest key: Clear stop or point when wrong (Hard stop, Hold below/above key level, or some sort of options structure) ● Options has helped define the risk in trade much easier ● Have some way to truly define your risk is the best way to become aggressive How do you feel when you fail to put on enough risk in a trade that you saw, but didn’t go for it? ● Very frustrating and finding excuses to add or reduce risk instead of looking at the cold hard facts ● Stick to your plan! What advice did you give to a trader at the firm who you felt was not putting on enough risk in his trades? ● As a trader, it is our job to put on risk when we see the opportunity ● Execute on our best ideas ● Not putting on enough risk while ultimately lead to failing as a trader What advice do you have for developing traders on the importance of placing risk on their best trades? ● Identify the areas where you a truly succeeding and put the risk on there What feedback do you give your Team Max members when they do not put enough risk in their best trades? ● Worst thing: Down 30-40% of a stop and having the mentality of losing the other 60-70% to be down a full stop (Don’t have this mentality) *SMB Disclosures* https://www.smbtraining.com/blog/smb-disclosures
