In this video, you will learn the working principle of timer instructions in PLC. Here we understand the generate on delay timer in PLC programming. The generate on-delay timer is called as TON instruction in Siemens Tia Portal. You can use the "Generate on-delay" instruction to delay the setting of the Q output by the programmed time PT. The programmed time PT begins when the instruction starts. When the time PT has elapsed, the output Q has the signal state "1". Output Q remains set as long as the start input is still "1". ## Free PLC and SCADA Training Courses ## 1. Free Siemens PLC Training Course https://instrumentationtools.com/siemens-plc-training/ 2.
