With the heart and blood vessels covered, isn't that a wrap on the circulatory system? Not without the lymphatic system! When fluid from the bloodstream exits the capillaries to join interstitial fluid, most of it enters again at the venous end, but not all. Some of it stays behind, and has to get picked up by lymphatic vessels, where the fluid is now called lymph, so that it can rejoin the bloodstream. There is also a lot of immune activity that goes on in here, so let's take a closer look!
