Terry Im, also known as 'krNfx,' is a two-time Canadian Beatbox champion, a two-time world finalist and a finalist on Canada's Got Talent. Im grew up playing the piano, flute and drums. He first began beatboxing after trying to imitate the sound of drums, using his mouth. Elysha Poirier is a visual artist, designer and illustrator who works in various forms of new media. Her techniques in painting and design have been adapted to video for live performances, which she has showcased locally and abroad. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
