Lesson 6 part 4 Estimate the activities duration in Primavera files link: https://planningengineer.net/courses/online-primavera-course-for-engineers-construction-managers/ A- Completion date is driving the activity duration: Usually in the construction project, The client or whoever responsible will put a deadline date to complete the project and you should balance the activity duration to match the deadline dates. B- Resources is driving the activity duration: In some cased the resources could drive the activity duration based on the resources availability and site conditions. I faced this case in one of the projects i worked in, where there was only 3 tower crane available to install roof facade and the roof is only accessible by tower crane, we had to estimate the duration required to install the roof facade based on the tower crane productivity rates. i.e. (how many roof panels can be installed using 1 tower crane multiplied by 3 tower cranes divided on the total number of roof panel). --------------- Keep in Touch: Join our email Newsletter, we send useful free content regularly: https://planningengineer.net/newsletter/ WhatsApp: +201277767728 Email: Info@PlanningEngineer.Net Linked in: https://www.linkedin.com/company/planning-engineer-est/ FaceBook Page: https://www.facebook.com/PlanningEngineerDotNet FaceBook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1138400132963230 Twitter: https://twitter.com/PlanningEEst Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/planningengineerest/ ---------------
