Learn Piano Scales cheat sheet here: https://bestpianoclass.com/scales Today’s lesson will practice how to learn piano scales for beginners, fast & easy. The tutorial cover the best 4 step formula of exercises to learn the left hand, the right hand, and both hands together, with the correct fingering explained for all keys, major and minor, AND of course good hand position. This method is a great piano warm up exercise and can be done daily to cover not only technique, but also many piano basics and theory in a bitesize framework. We’ll start with C Major, and the cheat sheet will have the other keys from G Major all the way to B Major and everything in between. By the end you’ll understand why scales are important and how to learn them in the fastest way possible. We’ll also cover the ultimate speed benchmarks for one octave scales for every degree of difficulty, from beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels - and hopefully have some fun along the way. Feel free to play along! By the way you can quickly use a similar blueprint for learning arpeggios, broken chords, contrary motion, chromatic and pentatonic scales, jazz scales, modes, and any music you’re learning - simply apply the same framework we learned and soon you’ll be playing like Liszt and Lang Lang ;-) Here’s what we’ll cover: 00:00 Intro 00:19 Step 1: Build Accuracy 02:32 Step 2: Develop Flow & Smoothness 04:34 Step 3: Solidify to Muscle Memory 05:30 Step 4: Build Speed (Metronome) 07:05 Bonus Step: Biggest Beginner Mistake By the way make sure you practice these IN ORDER (this is important). They all build off of each other so you need the previous step to complete the next one. This way you can move from Grade 1 to Grade 2 to Grade 5 to Grade 8 as smoothly as possible.
