Full Transcript

Is it clever to copy camera settings from other photographers? Well yes and no. You cannot copy all camera settings because your scene brightness will very likely be different to that of the other photographer in that particular shot. But you can copy for example his shutter speed if you want to photograph wildlife, a running dog or playing kids. Or you can copy the aperture if you want to photograph a portrait. Checking other photographers' camera settings can also help when doing lens purchase decisions. If you want to know how a specific lens changes the look of images, search for pictures shot with that particular lens. Also in this video: how do you find your camera settings in the so-called EXIF of your pictures. We describe that on Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.
