Writing thank you notes after a job interview is so important and can really make you stand out. In this video, we're going to give you some inside tips to help you write yours. That's coming up. Hi guys, I'm Kim with Snagajob, your number one source for hourly jobs and welcome to our weekly show where we give you job search advice from resume tips to interview advice, and everything in between. Today we are going to talk about the post job interview thank-you note. So, you went into your interview dressed professionally, answered your questions like a pro and really feel like you have a good chance of getting this job. So what's next? We have found that a lot of job seekers think that after the interview there is nothing else they can do. They really just wait by the phone expecting a call. But by taking the time to write the interviewer a hand written note, you can really stand out and get noticed. Think about it. How excited do you get when you get an actual letter in the mail. It's kind of a lost art I recommend writing your thank-you notes as soon as you get back from the interview. This way everything is still fresh in your mind. Go back over your notes to make sure you address anything that was highlighted in the interview. Also, remind them of your qualifications and bring up anything else you may have talked about, even if it is a little silly! for example: Dear Ms. Costa, Thank you for taking the time to talk with me today regarding the crew member position. After learning about how much you value customer service, I really feel that my experience and passions would fit in with your company. Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again! Kim P.S. I really enjoyed our discussion about our dogs and I hope they get a chance to play together one day. It can be short and sweet, but make sure everything is perfectly spelled before you send it out. Remember, you are trying to show them how professional you are and how interested you are in the position. Thanks for joining us today.
