There are a lot of modal particles in German. These little words are difficult for learners of German because there is no direct English translation. Modal particles convey an opinion, attitude or knowledge between the speaker and the listener and are very common in spoken language. We are planning a whole video series on modal particles - today Cari starts with "ja" and "doch". --- PRODUCED BY: Easy Languages is an international video project aiming at supporting people worldwide to learn languages through authentic street interviews and expose the street culture of participating partner countries abroad.
