LIVING ROOM - DAY A messy room, Reuben is sat on the couch, zombied out staring at something off screen. He raises a remote control and points it at a television. Reveal a television with the insides removed. We can see right through. VOICEOVER Not sure what you want to do with your life? Mum says "Be a nurse". 2 INT. DREAM SEQUENCE Reuben dressed as a sexy nurse. CLOSE ON Reuben unimpressed. VOICEOVER Dad says "Be like Boris". A blonde wig magically appears on Reuben's head. CUT WIDE to reveal a fat Reuben, uncomfortable, dangling from a zip wire, holding a British flag in each hand. VOICEOVER Forget their dreams! Reuben drops to the floor. VOICEOVER CONT'D You need to find your own dream. First identify what you love doing. What skills do you enjoy using? END DREAM SEQUENCE 3 INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER Reuben gets off the couch and glances at the messy table in front of him. DOUBLE SPEED He rearranges the items on the table neatly, symmetrically and in colour order. Then steps back and smiles in admiration of his work. VOICEOVER You have an eye for design. Creativity. 4 INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER Reuben notices a tilted shelf on the wall. One of the hinges are missing. He searches for it. No luck. Ahaa moment! He finds a scrap piece of wood and uses it to solve the problem. He smiles and exits. VOICEOVER Great solution. You're a problem solver. 5 INT. HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER Reuben stands in front of a mirror dressed in a smart blazer. He glances at the top pocket of his blazer. Unhappy expression. He exits. 6 INT. HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER A curtain. Reuben enters, looks around to see if anyone is watching then tears a piece of the curtain and quickly exits. 7 INT. HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER Reuben enters, stands in front of the mirror and places the piece of curtain in his top pocket. A pocket square. He smiles then exits. VOICEOVER Good idea! Creativity, problem solving and an attention to detail, that's three skills employers value. 8 INT. SHOP FRONT - LATER CLOSE UP of a hand fixing a name badge which reads "REUBEN CHRISTIAN: DESIGN APPRENTICE". CUT WIDE TO REVEAL Reuben securing the badge to his blazer. He straightens the tie on the mannequins beside him and arranges the rest of the shop front.
