Check any where online and you notice two things. 1) People claim that gerbils cannot live with other animals. 2) People claim that gerbils cannot live with guinea pigs. Having spent hours with animals and understanding their individual communication patterns and characteristic, I decided to put to this a test. My Hypothesis "Since gerbils can accept humans handling them, gerbils and guinea pigs can live together as long as they understand each other" By being the middle man between the two animals, I spend about 5-10 minutes translating each animal's "feelings" to the other party. The main idea to bring across is that, no one is an enemy. Every one can be a friend if you learn to live and sharing things together. Disclaimer: Please do not attempt this if you do not understand the communication patterns and body language of various animals. Randomly thinking you can put them together will lead to blood shed and death of an animal. Please note that everything (pets and objects) in this test has been placed strategically, introduced strategically through various time pauses and communication pattern, tone, and voice. The conclusion: If you can really understand each animal well, you can break up a fight and be the parent of both the animal groups; helping each other to understand that a shown action does not mean aggressiveness.
