In this video, we explore Bell's legendary 1964 paper in full technical detail, to explore the glitch in reality that he unveiled unto the world, which has been troubling physicists and philosophers ever since. This video is a sequel to my video on the EPR paper (just as Bell's 1964 paper is a sequel the 1935 EPR paper), so I recommend checking out that video first, unless you're already familiar with EPR. Here's a link to Bell's 1964 paper "On the Einstein Podolsky Rosen Paradox": https://cds.cern.ch/record/111654/files/vol1p195-200_001.pdf And while we're at it, here’s the link to the 1935 EPR paper: https://cds.cern.ch/record/405662/files/PhysRev.47.777.pdf Along with this video, you can find Video Notes PDF, and Animation Python codes, on my Patreon. Thank you to everyone who has signed up on there; your support means a lot and I really appreciate it! :) Patreon link: https://www.patreon.com/c/RichardBehiel 0:00 Video Intro 4:30 Part 1, Introduction 7:58 The Stern-Gerlach Experiment 22:38 P(up), P(down) for a Tilted Detector 25:28 Hidden Variable Examples 39:18 The Sketchy Move 44:28 The Definition of sigma dot a 56:20 Expectation Value of Spin Measurement 1:02:25 Part 2, Formulation 1:30:49 Part 3a, HV for Single Particle 1:43:20 Part 3b, HV for Special Cases 2:01:16 Part 3c, HV with Nonlocality 2:04:52 Part 4a, HV not Stationary at Min 2:27:59 Part 4b, HV does not match QM 3:02:00 Part 5, Generalization 3:05:26 Part 6, Conclusion #physics #math #EPR #Einstein #quantum #paradox #BellsTheorem #Entanglement
