A brief introduction to Bernoulli's Principle for students studying fluids as part of an algebra-based physics course such as AP Physics 2 or AP Physics B. For more information, please visit http://APlusPhysics.com.
(and yes, I do understand that the airplane wing explanation is greatly oversimplified, that lift is considerably more complex, and that this is not a direct outcome of Bernoulli's Principle. However, it is a classical example that in a greatly simplified explanation does provide a starting point for building understanding. Within the confines of the AP Physics 2 curriculum, I still find it valuable, though those interested in deeper study of aeronautics and fluids would be wise to dig considerably deeper.)
