Adult CPR is performed by first checking for responsiveness by tapping and shouting while looking at the face and chest for signs of breathing... If there is no response and no breathing, call emergency medical services (911). Perform 30 chest compressions at a rate of 100-120 per minute and a depth of 2-2.4 inches in the center of the chest, followed by two rescue breaths. Repeat cycles of compressions and breaths until an AED or emergency services arrives.
