In Adobe Illustrator, the paintbrush tool allows you to draw freeform paths that replace the appearance of brush strokes. You can use it to create a variety of effects, such as brush lettering, or to add texture and depth to your artwork. To use the paintbrush tool, select it from the toolbar or press "B" on your keyboard. Then, click and drag your mouse to draw a path. The brushstrokes will follow the path of your cursor as you draw. You can adjust the brush options by going to the brush palette, which can be accessed from the Window menu.
