Este verbo es más usado en negaciones o preguntas. Do you mind if I sit here? Te molesta si me siento aquí? No, I don’t mind. No, me molesta. Never mind- olvidalo I don’t mind standing - no me molesta quedarme parado TO BOTHER - molestar Este es similar a MIND pero este si se puede usar en afirmaciónes .. to bother ...molestar It bothers me that I got a bad grade. Me molesta haberme sacado una mala nota - Claro que también se hace negaciones con bother. It doesn’t bother me. No me molesta O el imperativo Don’t bother me !- no me molestes O Stop bothering me - deja de molestarme What’s bothering you?- que te molesta? Does the noise bother you? Te molesta el ruido? Do I bother you? Te molesto? O Am I bothering you? Te estoy molestando? MATTER - importar Matter como sustantivo (asunto, materia) Decimos: It doesn’t matter. - no importa. It matters to me. Me importa. Does it really matter? Realmente importa? I’ll go no matter what - iré sin importar lo que pase What’s the matter, Sarah? Que pasa, que problema hay, Sarah TO WONDER -preguntarse, desear saber, Wonder es otro verbo que usamos mucho, con una traducción no totalmente lógica. Si quieres decir; me pregunto en vez de decir “I ask myself” -- puedes decir “ I wonder” - las 2 formas son correctas pero es general es mas comun usar wonder I wonder why? Me pregunto porque I wonder if it will rain. Me pregunto si llovera I’m wondering the same thing… yo me estoy preguntando la misma cosa - I wonder when she’ll be back. Me pregunto cuando Ella volverá I wonder where she is. Me pregunto donde esta TO HAND ---- (hand -MANO) Es muy común usar el verbo to hand para expresar pasar algo a alguien. Please hand me the hammer. por favor pasame el martillo Would you hand me the remote? Me pasarias el control remoto? Hand it over to me - entregamelo Pero para decir pasar tambien podemos usar el verbo TO PASS - Pass me the salt - pasame la sal Please pass me a plate-
