Or talking to very important customers or your boss. It is very formal so じゃありません is the more common formal style when speaking. じゃない is informal, so it's used among friends. じゃないです is less formal and easier to pronounce than じゃありません so we use it when talking to strangers in a shop or senpai. You don't have to be as formal as to your boss when talking to neighbours but yet you still need to talk to them somewhat formally in Japan.
