TON is a ledger of state transitions, which is a more general idea than just a ledger of transfers There is no way in a TON blockchain to instantly get the state of another contract, the only possible option is to do it through message communication, so TON is asynchronous. The network in TON guarantees that any message will be delivered, but it doesn’t guarantee how long this will take. Every contract has its own little blockchain.
